Bountiful Herbs

Terms of service

The plain terms on which the library and the paid room are offered. Last revised 9 September 2026.

What this is

Bountiful Herbs is a reference and a set of working tools for trained practitioners of herbal medicine: the plates, the compass, Compare, the Sky, the formulary, the formula builder, client records and outcomes, the printed scripts, handouts and labels, and Herbert, an assistant built on a language model that draws on the classical materia medica and a house editorial. It is published by a practising naturopathic doctor.

Who it is for

The service is offered to practitioners and students of herbal medicine and to readers who want the reference. It is not medical advice for any one person and it does not make anyone a client of the publisher. Every clinical decision remains yours. Herbert is a machine and can be wrong, and the safety engine screens what it knows about; check anything that matters against your own judgment and your own sources.

The free library

An email address and a password open the library at no cost: the plates, the compass, Compare, the Sky, the formulary, the formula builder with its safety engine and the printed formula, and ten questions for Herbert. We may change what the free library holds, and we will say so on the site when we do.

The paid room

A subscription opens Herbert without limit and his formulating, clients and outcomes, the handouts, the labels and the printed plates. It is billed in advance by Stripe, monthly or yearly as you chose, and renews until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from Your account in the app's menu; access runs to the end of the period already paid and the library stays open to you afterwards. A founding seat keeps its rate for as long as the subscription is kept without a break. Prices are shown on the front page and may change for new subscribers; an existing subscription is told before its price changes.

One practitioner, one account

A subscription is for the person who bought it. An account may be open on two devices at a time; signing in on a third signs the oldest out. Sharing a password or an account with others is not permitted, and we may close an account that is plainly shared.

Your records

Clients, notes, outcomes and formulas you enter belong to you. You are responsible for having whatever consent your practice and your jurisdiction require before you record a person's details here, and for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose; the app lets you save every formula and paper to your own computer.

Fair use of the reference

The classical texts we quote are in the public domain. The house editorial, the plates, the images, the formulary and the software are ours; you may print and use them in your own practice and hand our client handouts to your own clients, but not republish them or build a competing service from them.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service up and improving, and we do not promise it will never be down. We may change or retire features. If we ever close the service we will give subscribers notice and time to save their records.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, and the publisher is not liable for losses that follow from relying on it; our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Questions

Use Write to us, on the front page and in the app's menu, or reply to any letter we send you; replies reach a person.
